Popmoney™ Payment Service

Coming to your EagleNET Online Banking account on May 16, 2017

Have you ever needed to pay someone but didn't have cash or a check on hand? Well, by using the new Popmoney™ service, you can pay anyone, anytime, without needing cash or writing a check. This secure person-to-person money transfer service is available to all North Country Savings Bank customers using EagleNET online and mobile banking.

Here's how it works: to send, request and receive money directly from your bank account, login to EagleNET Online Banking and select "Popmoney" from the top of your screen, select which option you are using and fill out the payer/payee and payment information. If the other person is already using Popmoney ™ they will receive a notification and the transfer will be complete within 1-3 days. If the payer/payee does not have a Popmoney™ account through their banking institution they can create one at Popmoney.com to send/receive the payment. The cost for money transfers through Popmoney™ is $1.50 for 3-day service and $2.50 for next-day transfer.

Your trust and safety are our highest priority. From the moment information is sent to Popmoney™ it is encrypted using industry leading software. To help prevent an unauthorized person from fraudulently depositing someone else's payment, a one-time passcode is sent for every initial payment to a new email address or mobile phone number. The user must provide that passcode back to Popmoney™ to verify "ownership" of that mobile number or email address before depositing the payment.

If you make a payment before 8 p.m. ET on a business day, the funds will be debited from your Eligible Transaction Account the same day. You should see the transaction on your account statement the following day. If you make a payment after 8 p.m. ET or on a non-business day, the funds will be debited from your Eligible Transaction Account the next business day. If you use a debit card to make a payment, the funds will be debited from your account immediately.
