Meet Natalie Darabon: Massena’s New Branch Manager
When you stop by North Country Savings Bank’s Massena branch, you’ll find a familiar North Country face ready to welcome you. Natalie Darabon, who began her career with NCSB in 2018 and previously worked as the Branch Manager in Potsdam, has taken on the role of Branch Manager in Massena and is excited to connect with a new community.
Natalie grew up in the Norwood/Norfolk area, where she still lives with her boyfriend and their cat, Rita. Family has always been a big part of her life—she’s especially close with her two sisters and adores her young nephews. Outside of work, she loves to travel, read, and spend time with her mom and girlfriends.
Her banking journey started in the Canton office when she was just 19. What began as a teller position quickly turned into a career built on strong relationships, problem-solving, and community involvement. Though she knew customer service and attention to detail would be important, she quickly learned that banking is about more than transactions.“It’s really about understanding people’s goals and helping them achieve them,” she explains.
That people-first approach is what she’s most excited to bring to Massena. “I’m looking forward to gaining a fresh perspective, learning new ways of working, and getting to know the community better.”
As a manager, Natalie loves creating an environment where her team feels supported and customers leave feeling confident. She recalls one of her favorite moments—a local author once gifted her a signed copy of his book with an inspiring note of thanks for her service. “It meant a lot,” she says, “and I still keep the book on my shelf.”
Natalie’s passion for people and her commitment to her staff will make her a wonderful addition to both the branch and the community. “I’m looking forward to learning more about how the team here operate during day to day work and how I can add value.”
