Meet Jennifer Cordick: Serving the Plattsburgh Community with Heart and Expertise
When clients meet with Jennifer Cordick, they often remark on her ability to make the mortgage process feel more human. Her capacity to simplify complex financial information has made her a trusted loan originator in the Plattsburgh area, and she credits much of that to her time spent in the automotive industry. Before joining North Country Savings Bank, Jenn built her career as an automotive finance manager and general sales manager. That experience gave her a deep understanding of financial decision-making and how to guide people through complex processes with clarity and confidence.
“What I love about being a loan originator is that every situation is different,” Jenn says. “I enjoy finding solutions that fit each client’s unique needs and helping make homeownership feel achievable.”
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Jenn has called the North Country home for more than 20 years. After relocating to Chazy in 2003, she eventually settled in Peru, where she lives with her spouse, their young son, and their corgi puppy. In true North Country fashion, Jenn gravitates toward the outdoors, and her active lifestyle includes motocross, travel, live music, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Since joining the bank, Jenn has embraced opportunities to grow professionally, expand her network, and deepen her understanding of mortgage lending. In one recent example, Jenn had a client whose credit score was a few points below the threshold for the best conventional loan rates, which would force them into a more expensive FHA loan elsewhere. Instead of settling, Jenn helped identify a small, outstanding collection account the client was unaware of. After that was paid off, the customer was thrilled to learn they now qualified for a mortgage—saving tens of thousands of dollars over the life of their loan.
“I love to play an essential part in turning dreams of homeownership into a reality by nurturing relationships, giving advice, and overcoming the unexpected as it arises.”
Jenn has a deep appreciation for the Plattsburgh area, from Lake Champlain to the Adirondacks, particularly because of the way the community looks out for one another. Working in a small-town environment allows relationships to grow naturally, and many of her clients come through referrals from local realtors and community members who trust her.
Her commitment to giving back is equally personal. For years, Jenn has volunteered with Lasagna Love, a nonprofit that delivers homemade meals to families in need across Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties—quietly supporting neighbors through simple acts of kindness. “It’s so fun and rewarding to make a meal for someone else and know that they are extremely grateful for it!”
At North Country Savings Bank, Jenn is especially proud of the bank’s fully in-house lending process, flexible loan options, and customer-friendly features like Purchase Plus programs, note modifications, and lower closing costs. These offerings allow her to tailor solutions that truly fit the needs of North Country borrowers. NCSB is also expanding its ability to meet the deposit needs of local customers, and Jenn believes that expansion will bring even more value to her clients. As NCSB continues to grow in the Plattsburgh market, customers can lean on Jenn for the best of community banking—lending knowledge, compassion, and a deep investment in the people she serves. Whether buying, building, or refinancing, Jenn wants clients to know she is ready to help them move forward with confidence.
North Country Savings Bank is an Equal Housing Lender and Member FDIC.
